PI Speed Control Loop
The PI Speed Control Loop is implemented using a standard PI controller.
The controller is executed at the FOC cycle rate to achieve fast response.
A simple anti-windup mechanism is included to prevent unwanted oscillations.
Since speed control operates in the mechanical time-constant domain, a more sophisticated speed loop or motion-control loop is often required. This can be implemented in software (C/C++) or using specific FPGA IP tailored to the application. QDESYS can provide dedicated design services for this purpose.
